Signs Your Transmission Needs Attention
Transmission problems rarely appear without warning. Recognizing the early signs can save you from costly repairs down the road. Our team at August European has been diagnosing transmission issues since 1980, giving us the experience to spot problems others might miss.
  • Delayed engagement when shifting into gear
  • Slipping gears or difficulty staying in gear
  • Grinding, whining, or clunking sounds
  • Burning smell from transmission fluid
  • Transmission fluid leaks under your vehicle
  • Check engine or transmission warning light
  • Rough or jerky shifting between gears

Ignoring these warning signs can turn a minor issue into complete transmission failure, leaving you stranded and facing a much larger repair bill.
